Tradewinds Sailing School on San Francisco Bay has some unique women-sailing-with-women
programs just for you:
ASA Basic
Keelboat --
enjoy your introduction to sailing with other women and taught by one
of our female instructors. Our Women-with-Women Basic Keelboat course
is a gift to yourself. Experience the joys of sailing, or improve your
skills and comfort level, in a non-judgmental, relaxed atmosphere. Please
call our office for information about our next All Women Basic Keelboat
and Basic Coastal Cruising classes.
Ladies Sail Day -- this is a free Club-sponsored
trip for women only. These outings are normally held the fourth Tuesday
of April, June, August, and October. We leave the dock at 10 a.m., sail somewhere
on the San Francisco Bay for lunch, and arrive back between 4:00 and
5:00 p.m. depending on weather and currents.
Ladies Sails are one of our most popular Club events. Everyone onboard gets a chance to sail and everyone participates as crew. If you have a non-Club member, female friend whom you would like to introduce to sailing, bring her along! The more the better.
How will Tradewinds make your sailing experience different?
We understand that women sometimes learn differently than men. So, we provide you with learning opportunities with other women taught by women.
We are a relaxed sailing school. Our focus is not racing, but cruising. We spend time focusing on good communication skills, crew safety, the cruising lifestyle, motoring skills, and solid sailing fundamentals.
Networking and camaraderie comes with the territory, and we work to ensure
that members can get together, meet each other, learn, and of course have
fun sailing!
Check our calendar for the next available class that is just right for you.
