"I think this is the best way to get into sailing. By signing up for the three basic classes and joining as a member, you are taught by some remarkably experienced instructors and then have the ability to practice what you have been taught from your last class or to prepare for your next class.

I had always wanted to learn to sail properly, but was put off by the high cost of renting a boat on a daily basis to practice, which you really have to do, or making a commitment to buying and maintaining my own boat without being sure that I would continue to like it over time.

Your club allowed me to do it economically and I wouldn't think of buying now and knowing that I would spend more time on upkeep than on sailing."
