The Folsom boats are finally in the water and back on the schedule. Checkouts are scheduled for this Sunday, May 18th. There are 5 spots per boat.
For Bareboat Certified and up members, we have also added a New Beneteau 31’ to the fleet named Megalina. We are running checkouts on Megalina this Saturday and Sunday the 17th and 18th. There will also be an evening checkout on June 3rd at 6pm, right after the checkout on Orion. Call the office to get signed up for any of these checkouts!

US Coast Guard Captain’s License Mariners School, the nation’s premiere USCG-approved captain’s licensing and educational program, has seats available in its upcoming OUPV (6-pack) class at their Brickyard Cove (Pt. Richmond) location. Tradewinds Sailing Club members and guests interested in advancing their maritime education and safety, while at the same time enjoying hands-on classroom preparation and qualification for the U.S. Coast Guard OUPV (6-pack) license.
The USCG-approved 56-hour OUPV weekend-format class schedule is as follows:

May 9,10,11
May 16,17,18
Exam Date: Tues, May 27
Friday Evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 PM Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM - 6PM
The course cost -- which includes all fees, texts, charts, plotting tools, notebooks, pencils, pens erasers, and exams -- is $795. This is the most affordable USCG-approved OUPV course you will find anywhere! In addition, all class participants will be offered a special $295 rate on the Masters (25,50,100-ton) and Towing endorsement upgrade online course (regularly $500). Exciting changes for our students and members in 2008!
- The ASA
Bareboat course will be 3 days (Saturday and the following
weekend with an overnight) instead of 2 days. During your first Saturday
you will be on Fleet 33 boat from 9am to 5pm. The following weekend,
you will be on Fleet 38 boat from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.
- Celestial
Navigation will be 5 days and 2 evenings. The schedule is:
Friday evening from 6pm to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm.
Skip a weekend and then repeat the schedule
